Trail-Way Speedway September 19, 2008 Hanover, PA (9/19/08) – Jeff Rohrbaugh put an exclamation point in his third straight Trail-Way Speedway track title by winning his seventh race of the season in the Trone Outdoor Advertising 30-lap “358” sprint car feature Friday night. It was all seven’s for the #7v, who started seventh after a top-12 redraw and made several daring moves to advance through the field and take the lead from polesitter Kyle Moody on lap 11. After that, it was race for second. “I was amazed that we got to the front as quick as we did,” said Rohrbaugh after scoring his 15th top-five finish in 16 races at Trail-Way this season, “Dale (Hammaker) is a heck-of-a driver. We got to be good friends this season here, and have had a lot of fun together in the pits this year.” Rohrbaugh squeezed past third-starting Hammaker in wild racing for second exiting turn two of lap seven. Hammaker followed Rohrbaugh past Moody into second on lap 14, and chased Rohrbaugh the rest of the way. “Life’s good. The best “358” sprint racing is right here at Trail-Way Friday nights,” added Rohrbaugh, “Roy and Teresa Vincent put up the money for this deal, and the crew deserves all the credit. I guess I’ll negotiate my contract this week, and I hope we’ll be back to defend our title next year.” Rohrbaugh’s division-leading 18th career win at Trail-Way was worth $2,000. Mike Bittinger slapped a 358 motor in his car and crossed third after starting eighth.
